Till dry. It isn't cooking, it is merely dehydrating. You don't want the meat to cook.
Usually takes about 5 or 6 hours in my dehydrator.
you can also just put a toothpick through the meat, hang it from your oven rack, leave the oven cracked, and put it on about 100-150 and let it cook...
